Compass Medical is a family‑care focused primary care practice in Southeastern Massachusetts that has grown over 20 years to 100+ providers, 500+ staff, seven locations and 80,000+ patients. As they took on more complex and chronic care for an accountable‑care population, leadership needed an EHR with strong population‑health analytics and workflow tools to manage growth and reduce provider burnout.

In March 2015 Compass implemented eClinicalWorks, used a Train‑the‑Trainer program to train all staff, and built embedded questionnaires, templates and order sets to streamline care. With EHR analytics they screened thousands (2,000+ at‑risk patients noted), reached roughly 80% of patients considered at risk for lung cancer, detected 19 early‑stage cancers for timely treatment, and improved workflows, staff engagement and population‑health management.
