First Choice Neurology, a Florida healthcare network with more than 90 providers across 46 locations that serves about 1,100 patients daily and works with 35+ hospitals, faced the challenge of integrating thousands of patient records and streamlining workflows that were still dependent on paper, phone calls, and faxes. The practice needed robust interoperability so clinicians could access complete patient histories across disparate systems in real time.

First Choice implemented eClinicalWorks’ EHR and Practice Management solutions and used Carequality (avoiding a costly ~ $15,000 Epic interface) to enable hospital interoperability, beginning with Tampa Neurology Associates (joined in 2017). The result is fast, on-demand access to comprehensive records—including Tampa General Hospital and the University of South Florida—reduced paperwork, smoother workflows for providers, and more informed, efficient patient care.
