Brown Clinic is a long-established, independent primary care practice in Watertown, South Dakota, serving a large rural population with 19 physicians and a broad range of services. Facing shifts to value‑based care, the clinic needed to earn PCMH recognition, implement Chronic Care Management, join an ACO, and meet complex reporting and information‑sharing requirements without sacrificing its independence.

Brown Clinic adopted eClinicalWorks EHR across the organization, built intensive “superuser” training on both clinical and IT sides, and leveraged tools like 10e, CCM modules, and HIE connections to streamline data sharing and reporting.
