Bright Futures Pediatrics, a pediatric primary care clinic in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, struggled with incomplete medical histories for foster care patients and children treated at multiple hospitals. This made it difficult to provide quality care, especially when caregivers had limited information and children could not clearly communicate their needs. The clinic turned to eClinicalWorks products/services, including healow® interoperability capabilities, to help address these record-sharing challenges.

eClinicalWorks implemented PRISMA to enable interoperability and transfer medical histories between clinics and hospitals. As a result, Bright Futures Pediatrics was able to obtain records for patients with limited information and severe mental illness, improving continuity of care and patient care overall.
