Ridgewells Catering, a Washington D.C.-based caterer, needed to pivot its operations quickly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company launched a new at-home meal concept, Ridgewells Eats, and sought a partner to get the service online fast for takeout and delivery. This is when they engaged with E-Coast Systems and its GoTab restaurant commerce platform to help capture new revenue streams.

E-Coast Systems implemented its web-based GoTab platform to provide contactless ordering and payment solutions. This was first used successfully to enhance the fanless experience at the 2020 U.S. Open golf championship, serving players and staff. The vendor proved to be a flexible and responsive partner, even deploying custom features like zero-dollar ordering for the event. The solution delivered an added-value experience for Ridgewells' clients and allowed them to thoroughly vet the technology for future major events.
