TUI, the world’s leading tourism group serving almost 20 million customers across airlines, hotels, cruises and retail, was held back by a fragmented IT landscape spanning five source markets. The complexity slowed innovation and risked the online booking experience, so TUI set a goal to halve time-to-market for new features by consolidating environments and moving to a hybrid cloud on AWS — but needed better visibility and automation to manage that complexity.
TUI selected Dynatrace for cloud-native observability and AI-driven automation, which accelerated the AWS migration, replaced five monitoring tools, and delivered a single end-to-end view of the customer journey. The rollout cut mean time to repair by 50%, enabled a 463% surge in bookings during peak traffic while avoiding at least £3.3m in lost revenue, and freed teams to focus on innovation and improving customer experience.
