Container Research Corporation boosts production 300% with DVIRC

Container Research Corporation (CRC) faced a challenge when a surge in demand for its helicopter blade boxes, following a competitor's closure, overwhelmed its production capacity. The company was only able to ship six units per week but needed to scale up to fulfill a large multi-year contract. To increase efficiency and meet this new demand, CRC enlisted the help of vendor DVIRC for its Lean Certification training.

DVIRC implemented its Level One Lean Certification training, taught by Jeff Kopenitz, for CRC's team members. This training helped identify non-value-added activities and create a roadmap for improvement, which was applied directly to the blade box manufacturing process. As a result of working with DVIRC, CRC increased its blade box production by over 300% to 25 units per week. This drove a revenue increase from $12.3 million to nearly $19.3 million in one year and allowed the company to grow its workforce significantly while also improving net profit by 10%.
