ABN AMRO, a major Dutch bank serving retail, private and commercial clients worldwide, faced rising compliance and operational challenges: it needed better insight into corporate ownership, Ultimate Beneficial Owners and Politically Exposed Persons to meet AML and sanctions requirements, and wanted to automate Procure2Pay/SAP processes to reduce manual vendor-management and accounts-payable work while improving customer responsiveness.

Working with Dun & Bradstreet (and RDC for enhanced monitoring), ABN AMRO built a Global Beneficial Ownership database, cleansed master data and deployed D&B Connect integrated with SAP for automated master data management, de-duplication, workflow and rapid credit checks. The result was stronger regulatory compliance and lower risk, faster responses to information requests, streamlined screening and risk-portfolio changes, and improved customer service through near-instant, reliable business-data-driven decisions.
