A dscout Case Study
Troika, an agency, sought to understand the power of fandom and how it meets core human needs. They partnered with dscout to conduct a large-scale, mixed-methods study to explore how fan relationships are born, sustained, and potentially fractured.
Using dscout's diary study platform, Troika engaged over 600 participants to capture video moments where fandom proved meaningful in their daily lives. This approach provided profound qualitative insights into how fandom helps people shape their identity and navigate life. The study, which involved over 8,000 participants in total, revealed that brands with a strong, authentic identity are the ones fans gravitate toward, providing Troika with the foundational knowledge to advise clients on cultivating passionate and loyal fan bases.
