A dscout Case Study
Fjord, a design and innovation consultancy, faced the challenge of conducting deep, iterative research for a long-term global client whose industry was heavily impacted by the pandemic. They needed to build an engaged participant cohort and apply multiple research modalities remotely to understand user values and attitudes. To achieve this, they turned to the vendor dscout, utilizing its Diary and Live products for a longitudinal study.
dscout provided a platform for Fjord to recruit a panel of participants and seamlessly mix research methods like video screeners, diary studies, and live interviews. This solution enabled iterative insights, strong stakeholder collaboration, and the creation of reusable research templates. The results included highly motivated participants with a low no-show rate, new research methods adopted by the client, and a streamlined process for sharing customer voice clips with leadership. Fjord has since integrated this longitudinal panel approach into its core toolkit for future projects.
