A dscout Case Study
Dropbox wanted to shift its platform from a background utility to a foreground experience and needed to understand how customers would use a more flexible new desktop app. To gain these longitudinal insights beyond standard usability testing, they turned to dscout for diary studies and in-the-wild research.
Using dscout's platform, Dropbox conducted a four-week study that included diary entries and live interviews. This approach provided deep, contextual feedback that identified key collaboration blockers within the new app. As a result, Dropbox gained more confidence in its issue reports and was able to directly inform its design direction to improve user collaboration.
