VetShopMax, a Sunshine Coast-based pet supplies and medication retailer founded in 1999, faced missed revenue opportunities as its growing customer database wasn’t being targeted effectively and abandoned carts weren’t being recovered. The team needed better segmentation, cart-recovery workflows and a solution that integrated with their Magento platform.

They implemented dotdigital’s Engagement Cloud—using the Magento connector and automated programs like welcome series, abandoned-cart messages and birthday emails—plus Google Analytics tracking and a drag-and-drop campaign builder. In the first quarter after launch they saw a 33% increase in gross sales revenue, 10% database growth, strong email performance (11.3% conversion on one send, 15% on a re-mail), 21 campaigns totaling 500,000 emails and an average click-to-open rate of almost 12%.
