Econsultancy is a digital publisher serving a global community of marketers and ecommerce professionals, and it promotes its research and services through the Daily Pulse e‑newsletter to over 80,000 subscribers. The challenge was delivering deeply personalised, topical content at scale—subscribers select from many topic combinations—using a legacy system that was slow, hard to integrate with CRM/Salesforce and impractical to manage without extra headcount.
Econsultancy implemented dotmailer’s automated platform, using EasyEditor, an HTML content server and preference-driven rules to assemble unique emails for each subscriber, plus A/B testing and heat maps for behavioural insight. The change cut production time from a day to about 90 minutes, improved subject-line and CTA performance across regions, empowered the team to iterate quickly, and set the stage for mobile optimisation expected to lift opens, clicks and conversions.
