Awaze boosts conversion rates for Cottages.com and Hoseasons with abandonment emails

Awaze used dotdigital’s cart and browse abandonment email tools to improve conversions for cottages.com and Hoseasons. The team was testing the best timing for browse abandonment messages and wanted to boost performance across their email marketing, including campaigns that create urgency with countdown timers.

With dotdigital, Awaze found that browse abandonment emails sent 15 minutes after abandonment performed best, and they plan to apply the same timing to cart abandonment emails. The results were strong: browse abandonment emails delivered a 4% conversion rate, the first cart abandonment email converted at 14%, and the second at 3%. Average order value was also 16% higher for cottages.com and 5% higher for Hoseasons versus other marketing emails, while dynamic countdown timers drove close to a 40% increase in conversion rate.
