PEI Media is a digital‑first publisher serving the global investment community (private equity, debt, infrastructure and real estate). Facing the need to grow subscriptions and sales while gaining a clearer, 360° view of reader behaviour, they wanted to move beyond mass "fire-and-forget" mailings to more targeted, personalized communications and better analytics.
By integrating dotmailer with Microsoft Dynamics, PEI built granular segmentation, A/B testing and detailed analytics, shifted to lighter, more visual emails and extended the platform to newsletters and e‑commerce. The result: clicks rose from 26 to 162 (CTR/CTO up ~400%, click-to-open from 4.59% to 21.37%), open rates increased modestly, unsubscribes fell even as sends doubled, and sales teams gained richer lead insights.
