Case Study: United Family Services achieves streamlined digital records and more time for clients with DocuWare

United Family Services (UFS) is a 50-person nonprofit in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, that provides casework, aftercare, education, therapy and residential services for at-risk youth and juvenile offenders. Facing a fully paper-driven system that made file sharing slow, insecure and hard to manage across locations, UFS wanted a cost-effective, easy-to-use electronic database to streamline document access and retention.

UFS implemented the cloud-based DocuWare solution, digitizing recent case files, automating retention, and converting forms to online, indexed submissions. The change sped document access, reduced administrative burden, freed staff to spend more time with clients, increased accountability, repurposed filing space for client services, and improved productivity and employee satisfaction.
