Martinsclub Bremen - Customer Case Study

Martinsclub Bremen is one of the largest support associations for people with disabilities in Bremen, employing nearly 900 people and offering services from residential care to school support and integrative kitchens. Rapid growth and a network of decentralized district offices had created a mountain of paper records and long processing times, so the association sought a scalable document management solution that would integrate with its existing Microsoft Access, Outlook and Sage systems.

They selected an on‑premises DocuWare solution with high‑quality scanners, a self‑learning Intelligent Indexing service, digital approval workflows and an interface to their Access application and Sage accounting. Incoming and outgoing invoices (~2,500 A/P and ~3,000 A/R annually) are now digitized, indexed and routed for digital stamping and posting, enabling a central document pool, reduced paper and office space use, faster processing, fewer filing errors, and direct archive access from Sage — savings the association plans to reinvest in expanding services.
