Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Colombia improves the quality of academic training with DocuWare

Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, a private Colombian institution with over 6,500 students and multiple campuses, needed to modernize its growing paper-based academic and administrative records to improve service quality and operational efficiency. The challenge was to consolidate dispersed archives, make documents accessible across departments, and reduce paper use while supporting secure, auditable workflows.

For more than 20 years the university has used DocuWare on-premises, integrating it with Certi Cámara e-signatures and its HR, academic and finance systems to digitize over 3.5 million pages and automate workflows. Today more than 800 users access a centralized, secure repository—resulting in faster processes, improved student services, 20 tons of paper saved, and more than 300 m² of former filing space repurposed for academic use.
