Imlek, the largest dairy producer in the Balkan region, faced slow, paper-based administration across multiple production sites and a headquarters in Belgrade. Weekly exchanges of supplier invoices, contracts and receipts led to delays, inconsistencies, poor traceability and difficulty searching for documents once they left a location.

Implementing an on‑premises DocuWare document management system digitized Imlek’s administration, automatically recognizing document types, routing approvals and enforcing access controls. Within weeks over 100 users processed about 4,000 documents monthly through roughly 130 digital workflows, delivering faster processing, greater transparency and improved internal process security — with plans to expand automation further.
