Ehrhardt + Partner Group (EPG) is a Germany‑based software company specializing in warehouse management with 23 locations worldwide and over 900 employees. Facing slow, partly analog invoice verification across multiple offices, the Accounting and IT teams sought a document management solution to standardize processes, reduce manual work, and integrate with their SAP environment.

EPG deployed DocuWare Cloud (live May 1, 2022) to automate invoice intake, OCR/indexing, routing and approvals—including a €1,000 threshold that routes higher-value invoices through Controlling—and a partner-built interface to SAP S/4HANA. The result: processing time dropped from about two weeks to two days, fewer posting errors thanks to automatic indexing, paperless Accounts Payable with direct DocuWare links in SAP, and improved supplier transparency and substitute routing during absences.
