Case Study: Denver Cold Storage achieves real-time cash flow visibility and streamlined Accounts Payable with DocuWare

A DocuWare Case Study

Preview of the Denver Cold Storage Case Study

DocuWare transformed its accounts payable process and Denver Cold Storage & Denver Logistics is extending its application to Customer Service in order to expedite operational workflows

Denver Cold Storage & Denver Logistics, a Denver, PA–based provider of temperature-controlled storage and logistics for hundreds of food manufacturers, relied on paper-driven Accounts Payable and customer-service workflows that made invoice tracking, approvals and cash‑flow visibility slow and error-prone. With over 130 employees and a steady stream of invoices for supplies, equipment and transport, the manual circulation of paper ledgers and scans created delays, poor visibility into outstanding payments and risk of duplicate payments.

In summer 2023 the company deployed DocuWare Cloud, starting with Accounts Payable and about 25 active users, to automatically capture emailed or scanned invoices, identify approvers from past records, route documents, send reminders and flag duplicates. The result: real‑time visibility into invoice status and cash flow, faster approvals, reduced risk of double payments, hundreds of documents processed weekly and a planned rollout to Customer Service to extend those efficiencies company‑wide.
