Case Study: Lawrence Paper Company achieves a sixfold invoice-processing boost and paper-free filing with DocuWare

A DocuWare Case Study

Preview of the Lawrence Paper Company Case Study

DocuWare made all the processes more efficient and streamlined. This brought great benefits company wide and especially within the Accounting department

Lawrence Paper Company, a family-owned corrugated box manufacturer founded in 1882 with about 215 employees serving roughly 2,000 customers, struggled with decades-old, paper-based processes. Widespread filing cabinets, annual offsite storage tasks and a seven-person paper approval trail made record-keeping slow and inefficient—Accounts Payable was processing only about 15 invoices a day.

The company deployed DocuWare on-premises beginning with Accounting, using features like Intelligent Indexing to digitize workflows. Since installation they’ve stored over 150,000 documents with 35 users, eliminated file cabinets and offsite storage, and increased invoice throughput from 15 to 100 per day; rollout is now expanding to Payroll and the Front Office.
