The Civil Engineering Office of the State Capital Stuttgart turned to DocuWare Cloud to manage documentation for the massive Rosenstein tunnel project — a 1,300 m construction crossing sensitive park and zoo areas that generated large volumes of plans, permits and correspondence and required secure daily access across multiple organizations with separate IT networks.

DocuWare Cloud was implemented as a virtual project room in May 2015, enabling structured digitization (about 4,000 multi‑page documents early on, including 1,500 archived files) and collaborative filing of 100+ new documents weekly. The cloud solution gives roughly 30 active project users fast on‑site access to meeting minutes, plans and correspondence, avoids costly changes to existing IT infrastructures, improves transparency and cost control, and has achieved growing acceptance with plans for further expansion.
