Buffalo Rock - Customer Case Study

Buffalo Rock Company, a family-owned soft drink producer and bottler founded in 1901, serves about 19,000 customers across three states and employs more than 2,150 people. Its Document Imaging and Accounts Payable teams were stalled by manual work—printing and scanning hundreds of emails daily and re-keying invoice data—creating delays and productivity losses as document volumes grew.

Buffalo Rock deployed DocuWare (cloud) integrated with Oracle 12.1 and Outlook, customizing email imports (using an Outlook macro to strip unwanted attachments) and creating Oracle-stored links so AP staff can open and approve invoices without re-entry. The integration eliminated double entry, cut paper and ink use, saved over eight man-hours a day, and now supports about 50,000 stored documents and more than 5,000 invoices processed monthly, with plans to expand DocuWare to additional departments.
