Beachcomber Tours South Africa, the local arm of Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels, is a 30‑year‑old tour operator with almost 60 staff that handles high volumes of package bookings to Mauritius. Although the company moved early to a paperless model, prior ECM and file‑sharing solutions could not keep pace with growth—email archiving, shared access and capacity limits were major operational challenges.

DocuWare Cloud was implemented and configured to Beachcomber’s departmental workflows and legacy data was migrated (including over 400,000 historic emails). The system now automatically archives more than 460,000 messages a year with indexed metadata, links correspondence to booking numbers, enforces granular access rights for sensitive data, and supports workflows—delivering faster retrieval, stronger security and compliance, and lower costs than traditional server‑based approaches.
