Auto Schubert, one of Germany’s largest Toyota dealers with five locations selling about 2,500 vehicles a year, faced a paper-driven sales process where vehicle files moved between workstations, causing time-consuming searches, incomplete contracts and quality risks. Management wanted employees focused on customers rather than paperwork and needed a reliable way to ensure complete, consistent sales documentation across departments.
The dealership implemented DocuWare Cloud as a dealer management system (integrated with ECAROS), scanned documents at each location and put digital vehicle-file workflows into production in early 2023. The DMS makes all documents immediately available companywide, speeds up checks and approvals, eliminates many errors and saves an estimated 60–70 working days annually, improving employee efficiency and customer satisfaction; invoice receipt automation is now being rolled out.
