Arab Islamic Bank (AIB), founded in 1995 in al‑Bireh and now one of the largest banks in the Palestinian Territories with 18 branches and 500+ employees, faced inefficient, paper‑based archives at each branch. Staff often couldn’t tell which customer documents already existed, leading to repeated requests, delays across departments and higher transaction costs during the hundreds of daily transactions the bank handles.

AIB implemented DocuWare integrated with its iMAL core banking system: documents are barcoded, scanned, automatically indexed and accessed directly from the customer view in the banking application with minimal training. The change eliminated time lost searching, streamlined cross‑department approvals, ensured data‑protection compliance, reduced transaction costs and sped up service — boosting decision speed, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
