Advance Cabinet Designs (ACD) is a family-owned Oregon manufacturer of custom commercial cabinets serving the Northwest. ACD’s paper-based processes—thick, disorganized job files and accounts-payable packets physically moved from desk to desk—made version control, access and searching slow and error-prone, and the company needed a secure way to share up-to-date information across the organization.

ACD implemented DocuWare with Ricoh MFPs to create a company-wide paperless system: QuickBooks orders are auto-filed, supporting docs are scanned and electronically stapled, and electronic stamps and workflows replicate existing processes while adding accountability. Centralized storage, virtual blueprint red-lining, and easier meeting and email capture sped reviews, reduced re-cuts and material waste, improved productivity, and ensured continuity when staffing was reduced.
