AAA of Washington, the state’s largest personalized insurance agency with 85 agents across 26 locations managing about 130,000 policies and roughly 1,200 policies processed monthly, faced a cumbersome paper-based workflow. Field agents repeatedly printed, annotated, scanned and re-scanned applications, creating long 14-day cycle times, frequent “Not In Good Order” errors, compliance gaps and security concerns around customer data.
The organization implemented the DocuSign Agreement Cloud and eSignature with mobile-friendly templates and a month of field training, reaching near 100% adoption. Completion time for new applications fell from 14 days to 2 days (an 85% reduction), NIGO rates dropped dramatically, auditability and encryption improved, physical shredding and overhead costs fell, and agents gained time to sell more business.
