Purdue University Fort Wayne professor John LaMaster faced a challenge with students and instructors not fully understanding the capabilities of DigitalEd’s Mobius platform, limiting how effectively it could support learning in STEM courses. Without knowing how to use the tool to its full potential, users were missing out on its flexibility, feedback features, and customization options.
DigitalEd’s solution was to help LaMaster regularly demonstrate Mobius to students and faculty, showing them how to use its features for assignments, grading, feedback, and repeated practice. The result was improved student outcomes: learners became less anxious, more self-confident, and more comfortable with complex STEM material, and both groups in LaMaster’s study performed better with Mobius than with paper-and-pencil homework.
