Medical Statistics are Better Understood with Möbius

Lakeland Community College, where Don Davis teaches mathematics and statistics, needed a better way to help health sciences students understand statistics. Many students were intimidated by the subject or needed extra support, and the college wanted a more effective way to connect statistics to healthcare applications. DigitalEd’s Mobius online courseware and assessment platform was used to address this challenge.

DigitalEd implemented Mobius to let students practice multiple algorithmic versions of the same problems and receive immediate feedback for self-assessment. The result was stronger understanding of statistical concepts through healthcare-focused exercises, including simulated clinical trials, and better preparation for quizzes and tests. According to the case study, Mobius helped students build confidence and improved their ability to analyze medical statistics relevant to their future careers.
