A DigitalEd Case Study
Hogeschool Rotterdam, a Dutch university of applied sciences, needed a way to reduce the heavy grading and course-preparation burden on STEM instructors while improving student success. Vendor DigitalEd provided its Möbius platform to support engineering and mathematics teaching with easier assignment creation, delivery, and automatic marking.
Using DigitalEd’s Möbius, lecturer Martine van der Post quickly built tests and homework for Basics of Mathematics, later extending the platform to exams and additional engineering courses. The impact was significant: pass rates rose from 20% in the first trial to more than 85% once homework in Möbius became a requirement, and the university is now expanding Möbius across Mechanics, Statistics, Thermodynamics, and Controls Engineering.
