A DigitalEd Case Study
The University of Birmingham’s College of Engineering and Physical Sciences needed a way to provide consistent, immediate feedback and better support students with different qualifications and backgrounds. Working with DigitalEd, the college adopted the Möbius online testing and assessment system to support active learning, independent study, and first-year mathematics instruction.
DigitalEd’s Möbius platform, integrated with Canvas, delivered adaptive questions, hints, and step-by-step guidance, and later expanded across STEM subjects with a large custom question bank built by 12 undergraduate interns. The rollout enabled college-wide use of summative assessments, improved conceptual understanding, and helped 85% of students say Möbius was a substantial aid to their learning.
