IBM partnered with Digital Silk to improve its global website marketing efforts. IBM needed to refresh industry-specific communications and launch a new platform for 19 industries, with more than 200 webpages that had to be localized across Europe. The challenge was helping global IBM locations adopt the new microsite approach more effectively and consistently.
Digital Silk streamlined the rollout by assigning dedicated digital strategists to each European region, creating guidelines, sharing best practices, and speeding up the localization process. After five months, Digital Silk helped IBM launch 47 microsites across 21 countries, localize 200 webpages into 11 languages, and coordinate more than 100 stakeholders.
