A Dialpad Case Study
The National Juneteenth Observance Foundation, led by Steve Williams, needed a simple, reliable way to coordinate a nationwide, largely grassroots movement—many participants lived in rural areas or were older, and the team had to run frequent meetings, make hundreds of outreach calls to lawmakers and constituents (including international callers), present materials, and capture oral histories. Their challenge was finding a communications solution that was easy to join, mobile-friendly, and capable of recording and transcribing conversations.
Dialpad Meetings delivered an easy, no‑PIN joining experience, a mobile app, screen sharing, recording and live transcription, allowing daily meetings, virtual conferences of ~100 people, and hundreds of outreach calls that included legislators and local constituents. As a result, the foundation stayed organized through its campaign to secure federal recognition of Juneteenth, preserved oral histories for future generations, boosted participation and outreach efficiency, and made Dialpad the organization’s central communications hub (about 17–25 hours/week of use).
