Spartez, a Gold Solution Partner of Atlassian and software company of 150+ people based in Gdansk, faced inefficient technical screening: their in‑house tool IAN let through 23.36% of candidates, creating too many early interviews and consuming significant developer time to maintain and interpret results. In October 2017 Spartez replaced IAN with DevSkiller tests and moved the live coding test before the technical interview to focus on real skills rather than CVs.
By using DevSkiller as the first screening step, Spartez cut early pass-through rates from 23.36% to about 10.23%, filtered roughly 44% more candidates before face-to-face meetings, and reduced the number of technical interviews by 8.6x. DevSkiller also boosted interviewer satisfaction by 40% and reduced time spent interpreting screening results by 66% (from ~20 minutes to ~5 minutes) while eliminating the maintenance burden of their in‑house solution.
