Case Study: IKEA Retail boosts remote employee engagement with DevSkiller

IKEA Retail (Ingka Group) throw a fully remote talent-centric event

IKEA Retail, part of Ingka Group, needed to run its Talent Focus Week fully remotely in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The shift from in-person to online activities created both logistical and engagement challenges, while the company also wanted to spark curiosity in technologies like Golang and React. DevSkiller’s SkillPanel was used to support this effort through coding challenges.

DevSkiller helped IKEA Retail move more than 100 local activities into a digital agenda and promote beginner and intermediate coding challenges during the event. The results included 1,500+ visits on the event hub, 38 session recording views, 5,000 participants in workshops, mind/body, and social activities, and 950 people signed up for online learning, with 38 participating in the coding challenge.
