Vmware uses RDM to store its passwords In a secureand centralized location

VMware, a global leader in cloud infrastructure and member of the Dell Technologies family, was struggling to manage more than 300 servers and over 1,300 remote connections from its Bangalore campus. The IT team found it impractical to remember server names, cumbersome to switch between servers, and tedious to open multiple sessions; existing tools (RDCMan, Royal TS, custom SQL DB) were disorganized, slow, or had poor UIs. VMware evaluated and adopted Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) from Devolutions to address these challenges.

Devolutions’ Remote Desktop Manager centralized and securely stored machine names and passwords, added tabbed sessions, session grouping, multi-level security, and both local (Devolutions Server) and cloud database access so staff can connect from anywhere. As a result, VMware now manages 300+ servers and 1,300+ remote connections far more efficiently, with faster session switching, simpler session creation, and a cleaner UI — outcomes VMware’s team credits to Devolutions’ RDM.
