Redstone Highlands Communities - Customer Case Study

Redstone Highlands Communities, a senior living provider, was struggling with rapid growth, changing customer expectations, and especially high employee turnover that was costing more than $500,000 a year. To address leadership gaps and an informal, ineffective hiring process, Redstone Highlands Communities partnered with Development Dimensions International (DDI) for leadership development and selection support, including DDI’s Leadership Excellence and Targeted Selection® programs.

Development Dimensions International helped Redstone Highlands Communities build a stronger leadership culture and implement structured behavioral interviewing for all hiring managers. The results were significant: registered nurse turnover fell from 62.5% to 26%, certified nursing assistant turnover dropped from 45% to 17%, and licensed practical nurse turnover declined from about 16% to 10%. Resident survey feedback also improved, reflecting better continuity of care and stronger staff retention.
