A Development Dimensions International Case Study
Optus, a telecommunications company evolving into a multimedia technology organisation, needed to better support employees moving into first-time leadership roles. To address this challenge, Optus partnered with Development Dimensions International (DDI) and its leadership development offerings, including Interaction Management®, to build a structured program for new leaders.
Development Dimensions International designed and delivered the five-month SCORE Foundations program, blending classroom learning, coaching, digital tools, and on-the-job practice. The results were strong: 100% of participants found the program relevant, 67% of managers reported improved frontline leadership capability, and participants showed notable gains in key behaviours, including a rise in frequently demonstrated leadership actions from 63% to 96% and effective communication skills from 69% to 97%. The program also drove higher engagement, productivity, efficiency, collaboration, and improved performance management.
