Johnson Matthey, a global specialty chemicals company, faced two talent challenges at its Manesar, India facility and across Asia: hiring high-quality technical talent quickly and strengthening supervisors’ leadership skills. With support from Development Dimensions International, the company used DDI’s Targeted Selection® behavioral interviewing system and a supervisory development program to improve how it recruits, selects, and develops people.
Development Dimensions International implemented standardized panel interviews with competency-based guides and also delivered a five-month leadership curriculum using DDI’s Interaction Management® system, paired with follow-up assignments and manager support. The results included a faster, more consistent hiring process that saved time for HR and line managers, plus improved supervisor behavior, a stronger learning culture, and greater leadership awareness across the organization.
