Huntington National Bank, a regional bank based in Columbus, Ohio, faced the challenge of strengthening its mid-level leaders to support a new three-year strategy and build a high-performing culture. To address this, Huntington partnered with Development Dimensions International and used DDI’s Business Impact Leadership® Mid-Level Series to develop the skills and behaviors needed to execute its growth plans.
Development Dimensions International implemented a customized six-month leadership program with prework, monthly sessions, executive sponsorship, and peer learning groups to improve collaboration, networking, and leadership effectiveness. As a result, targeted leadership behaviors increased by 55%, and trainees and observers reported financial gains of $25,000 to $600,000 in relevant business areas, while Huntington also gained a clearer roadmap for developing future leaders.
