Epworth HealthCare needed to strengthen its leadership pipeline to support rapid growth, site expansions, and new service offerings, but it lacked an obvious internal supply of ready leaders. To address this, the health care group worked with Development Dimensions International to identify high-potential employees and prepare them for senior roles.
Development Dimensions International implemented a multi-step talent strategy using talent factors, executive simulations, individual development plans, and leadership curriculum. The program improved leadership ratings, and within a year all talent pool members had been promoted or given stretch roles; 100% said they were more confident, motivated, and effective in applying new leadership skills.
