Capital Power, a growth-oriented North American power producer, needed to shift from a public-utility mindset to a more entrepreneurial culture aligned with its growth strategy. To support that change, the company partnered with Development Dimensions International (DDI) to build stronger leaders at every level and create a consistent leadership language across the organization, especially for frontline supervisors and managers.
Development Dimensions International helped Capital Power design and deliver the iLead leadership pipeline, including iLead Boot Camp, iLead Core, and iLead Evolve, using customized DDI courses and supporting tools. The program reached more than 230 leaders and produced strong results: 77% of participants rated their skills and knowledge highly after training, up from 7% before training, a 1,100% increase, and 99% rated the program highly valuable, with feedback showing improved on-the-job leader performance.
