A Development Dimensions International Case Study
Besi, the semiconductor assembly equipment manufacturer, faced a growth challenge in 2013 as demand surged and its sales doubled, but its leaders lacked the people-management skills needed to support the expansion. Besi turned to Development Dimensions International (DDI) and used DDI’s Leadership Mirror® 360-degree assessment and Interaction Management® leadership courses to identify skill gaps and build stronger management capability.
Development Dimensions International implemented tailored learning journeys for directors and senior managers, paired with lunch-and-learns to reinforce learning and build a common leadership language. The results were measurable: post-development assessments showed improvement across all competencies, with especially strong gains in gaining commitment, initiating action, communication, coaching, decision making, and formal presentation; the program was then expanded to supervisors and individual contributors to strengthen Besi’s leadership pipeline.
