Avnet Electronics Marketing Services Asia needed to build a stronger leadership pipeline and consistent frontline management capability across Asia-Pacific, where leaders had previously been left to “sink or swim” with little training. To address this challenge, Avnet partnered with Development Dimensions International to create a multilingual Front Line Leadership program that could develop practical leadership skills and support a growing regional business.
Development Dimensions International designed and implemented a three-part training series using its Interaction Management® courses, along with facilitation skills workshops to certify Avnet’s internal trainers. The results were substantial: more than 300 leaders completed the program, communication improved for 90% of trainees, 83% reported better customer satisfaction, and leaders’ use of positive performance behaviors increased by 38 percentage points. Avnet also saw a stronger performance culture and lower staff turnover.
