Carestream Health, Inc., a global medical imaging and IT solutions provider, needed to modernize a manual and inconsistent purchase-to-pay process across 170 countries, 1,500+ vendors, and multiple locations. Descartes implemented a cloud-based B2B Collaboration solution to automate POs, acknowledgements, ASNs, invoicing, and compliance, tightly integrated with Carestream’s SAP ERP system. The platform automated about 38,000 invoices per year, saving roughly US$400,000 annually and recovering about 20,000 productive hours, worth more than US$600,000 in total annualized savings. Descartes also improved receiving efficiency with common barcode labels, strengthened supply chain visibility, and helped Carestream achieve 100% PO acknowledgement while supporting e-invoicing compliance in Europe and beyond.
