REHAU Group, a leading polymer-processing company with operations in more than 50 countries, needed a reliable way to notify IT service personnel about critical incidents in its network and server environments. The company wanted 2-way alerts via email and SMS, plus seamless integration with HP OpenView and future Microsoft System Center monitoring. Vendor Derdack provided Enterprise Alert® to meet these requirements.

Derdack implemented Enterprise Alert® for fast, mobile incident alerting, connecting it to REHAU’s local Exchange server and a GSM modem for dependable 2-way SMS notifications even during network failures. The solution initially reached 12 IT staff and 91 first-level support employees at external sites, helping REHAU optimize alerting, improve response times significantly, and better ensure SLA compliance.
