Indiana University, a multi-campus public research institution, needed reliable after-hours alerting for its IT operations and a better way to integrate notifications with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). The IU Bloomington Auxiliary IT team wanted alerts across multiple channels so they could respond to issues outside business hours without relying on users to reach specific staff.
Derdack implemented Enterprise Alert to automate incident notifications from SCOM and route critical alerts to the right personnel in real time. As a result, Indiana University improved system uptime, increased alert effectiveness, and boosted IT productivity by enabling remote actions from mobile devices, helping staff respond immediately to emergencies instead of hours later.
