BT Global Services, Benelux, a major telecommunications and data services provider, needed a more reliable way to ensure critical alerts were never missed. While implementing a new Microsoft System Center-based monitoring project, the company found its existing centralized alerting setup unreliable and wanted a flexible, easy-to-manage solution with safeguards for on-call staff and customer notifications.

Derdack implemented Enterprise Alert® to deliver monitoring traps to about 50 support staff, with support for multiple communication channels, acknowledgements, escalation to management, and integration with systems such as SCOM and HP Service Manager. The result was guaranteed alerting with low maintenance effort, helping BT Global Services protect customer SLAs and respond immediately to severe incidents, including services affecting up to 200,000 government officials.
